Throughout the year at the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall you can find exhibits that feature artwork and photography by local artists, historical expos on local cities, towns and the region's involvement in the Civil War, to displays that showcase one of the most beloved stories of the yuletide - "A Christmas Story."

Located at the Indiana Welcome Center, the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall features displays like these year round. Stop in during the Christmas season and see the interactive displays of "A Christmas Story" Comes Home

"A Christmas Story" Comes Home: A Major Event

Join us for A Major Event, the first event of the season during our annual "A Christmas Story" Comes Home exhibit. Expect lots of fun including a train ride, bingo, scavenger hunt, letters to Santa, cookie decorating, showings of the "A Christmas Story" movie and an ugly lamp contest! Holiday for Heroes

December 7th is a special evening of appreciation for our region's police, firefighters, EMS, military forces, and Hoosier Helpers. This event is open exclusively to all of these individuals and their families. Cookies and hot cocoa will be served, and attendees may take a free photo with Santa.  More

Oh Fuuudge! Tire Relay Race

Oh Fuuudge! Relay competition for parent/child teams.  This relay race depicts the tire changing scene in "A Christmas Story" when Ralphie spills lug nuts into the street. Teams "change a tire" and run through an obstacle course while holding a hubcap full of lug nuts steady. Two age groups - children ages 4-7 and 8-12. Pre-register online. "A Christmas Story" Comes Home

The Indiana Welcome Center features six animated displays depicting scenes from the holiday classic "A Christmas Story." The displays include: The Department Store Window, Flick's Tongue and Triple Dog Dare, It's a Major Award, The Bumpus Hounds and a new window, A Hero's Dream.
