South Shore Regional Car Show


The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority and Fair Oaks Farms will be hosting a car show on Thursday, July 10. Numerous cars will take over Fair Oaks Farms for a unique car show experience. 

The car show includes awards, DJ and music, food vendors, Fair Oaks Farms attractions and fun for the whole family! Registration is 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and awards are at 7:30 p.m.

Spectator admission is a $2.00 donation or a canned good per person for the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.

Attractions at Fair Oaks Farms July 10 will be open until the following times: 
Café will close at 8:00 pm
The Farmhouse Restaurant will close at 9:00 pm
Dairy Adventure exhibits and Mooville will close at 7:30 pm
Birthing barn will close at 5:00 pm
Pig bus tours end at 3:30 pm
Dairy bus tours end at 4:00 pm

There will be 14 classes with 5 best of class awards in each class PLUS specialty awards for a total of 90 awards! These include Best of Class (Top 5), Best of Show, People's Choice, Best Ford, Best GM, Best Mopar, Best Paint, Best Custom, Most Patriotic and Club Participation.

We're getting some awesome raffle prizes from our fabulous partners - Fair Oaks Farms, Teibel's Family Restaurant, Bub's BBQ, Carpenter Creek Cellars, Yesteryear's Specialty Shoppe and more! Remember to bring those canned or non-perishable food items or plain old cash with you to the car show to benefit the NWI Food Bank. The more you donate, the more chances you'll have to win!

The South Shore CVA Tour Mobile will be at the Cobe Cup Race on June 7 in Cedar Lake. The Tour Mobile will also be at the Hot Rod Power Tour on Wednesday, June 11, at the Lake County Fairgrounds. Stop by the Tour Mobile for Car Show and other event information. Register for the South Shore Regional Car Show at the Hot Rod Power Tour - cash, check and credit card payments will be accepted. Just added – Mix and mingle with Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders during the car show! Plus WLQI - 97.7 FM will be broadcasting live from the car show.

We are having a food drive at the car show to benefit the NWI Food Bank. Please consider donating canned goods or making a monetary donation to help support this great organization. In return for your donation, you will receive raffle tickets and the chance to win some fabulous prizes. Drawings will be held every half hour from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The more you donate the more chances you'll have to win!

$2 or 1 canned good = 1 ticket
$5 or 3 canned goods = 3 tickets
$10 or 5 canned goods = 5 tickets
$20 or 10 canned goods and up = 10 tickets

The food bank's most needed foods are canned fruit, vegetables, tuna and meats; macaroni and cheese, pasta, oatmeal and peanut butter.

A couple of classes have been revised – these classes are: Class B - Hot Rods – 1923 to 1948 – open and closed; Class E. Muscle Cars: American-made 1949 to 1994. If you've already registered and need to change your class, please email
