Through the collective effort of 18 region breweries, the 100th South Shore Poster will be unveiled this weekend at Crown Beer Fest, May 14 at 3:00 p.m. The 7th Annual Crown Beer Fest is held at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point and features more than 50 Breweries and more than 200 brews.

The South Shore CVA recently took over as the South Shore Poster Management Company and has helped commission three South Shore Posters since the beginning of the year. The Northwest Indiana Breweries poster will mark the 100th poster in the revitalized South Shore Poster series.

"The Northwest Indiana Breweries have been working collaboratively on projects for a number of years. We are thrilled to be unveiling our painting that really is a testament to our camaraderie, hard work, and loyalty to the communities along the South Shore," commented Kaitlyn Hendricks, Three Floyds Brewery and Board Member of the Brewers of Indiana Guild.

There are currently 22 breweries that are active in building a beer community throughout the region. Each brewery offers unique beer styles, atmosphere, branding and other elements. These region breweries are able to come together to work on projects like the South Shore Poster to help the local craft beer industry and promote the South Shore Brewery Trail as a destination.

"The South Shore CVA is humbled to be at the helm of the South Shore Poster Series brand and honored to unveil the 100th poster this weekend. The strong partnerships with our region breweries, artist Mitch Markovitz and the committee members made this particular project come together quickly. This is a milestone, and we are excited to share it with the breweries, residents and visitors to the South Shore," stated Speros A. Batistatos, President/CEO of the South Shore CVA.

Posters will be on sale at the participating breweries on May 15, after the poster is unveiled: 18th Street Brewery, Hammond; 95Ate5 Brew Pub, St. John; Bulldog Brewing Co., Whiting; Burn ‘Em Brewing, Michigan City; Byway Brewing, Hammond; Crown Brewing, Crown Point; Devil's Trumpet, Merrillville; Four Fathers Brewing, Valparaiso; Hunter's Brewing, Chesterton; Ironwood Brewing Co., Valparaiso; New Oberpfalz Brewing, Griffith; Pokro Brewing, Griffith; Route 2 Brews, Lowell; Shoreline Brewery, Michigan City; Three Floyds Brewing Co, Munster; Twisted K-8 Brewing, LaPorte; Wildrose Brewing Co., Griffith and Windmill Brewing, Dyer. Posters will also be on sale at the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond, Indiana.

Artist, Mitch Markovitz, will also be signing a limited number of posters at Crown Brewing on May 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. An additional singing has been scheduled at Hunter's Brewing in Chesterton on June 4 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Posters are priced at $35 (24" x 26") and $25 (12" x 18").
