SS Constantine & Helen Greek Church presents its 47th annual Greek Festival from July 8 to 10 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Attendees have been enjoying Greek favorites like the Gyros, roasted lamb and their award-winning "Greek Potatoes" for decades.

Festivities include carnival games for kids, vendors and generous portions of traditional Greek food. An outdoor beer garden will also be available. Entertainment includes The Rave featuring Nick Kazonis on Friday at 7:00 p.m.; the Ormi band on Saturday and Sunday at 5:00 p.m. and Hellenic Dancers Friday through Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Father Ted Poteres said, "What makes this event special is that it allows people to learn about the Greek culture through the food, music and dancing. People come out because they love the overall atmosphere. They have fun and enjoy themselves."

Greek Fest is free and open to the public. Parking is also free. SS Constantine & Helen Greek Church is located at 8000 Madison Street in Merrillville. For details visit
