Annual South Shore Car Show Approaching & Rain Date Announced

The South Shore Regional Car Show will be held at Fair Oaks Farms on August 3 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item or make a donation to the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana as admission. The Rain Date for the South Shore Car Show will be Aug 4 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Fair Oaks Farms.

Approximately one hundred classic, antique and vintage cars will fill Fair Oaks Farms for a unique car show experience. During the event, families will have the opportunity to view cars, take helicopter rides and enjoy many of Fair Oaks' attractions.

Helicopter rides will be provided by Aurora Helicopters for $40/person. Three passengers can fit into the helicopter during each ride.

Car enthusiasts who would like to participate can register the day of the car show for $20. The first 100 car owners registered will receive a free t-shirt and commemorative dash plaque. Registration begins at 3:00 p.m. and continues to 5:30 p.m. Awards will be given to the winning cars in select categories at 7:30 p.m. Fair Oaks Farms will offer a buy-one-get-one offer for car show registrants and their families.

Fair Oaks Farms is located at 856 N. 600 E. in Fair Oaks, Ind. Visitors can enjoy Mooville and the Cowfe until 7:00 p.m. The Dairy, Pig and Crop Adventures will be open until 5:00 p.m. with Pig bus tours ending at 3:30 p.m. and Dairy bus tours ending at 4:00 p.m. For additional information and updates, visit www.alongthesouthshore.com/carshow.
