The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority will once again hold Wag Your Tail Wednesdays in conjunction with the A Christmas Story Comes Home exhibit. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, Nov. 29, Dec. 13 and Dec. 20, well-behaved pets are invited to have their picture taken with Santa atop Santa's Mountain.

This unique opportunity is offered for $6 per photo. A portion of the proceeds from each pet photo will be donated to local pet rescues. Participants are also encouraged to bring in donations for the local rescue. Proceeds will benefit the following local rescues: Bella's House on Nov. 22; Humane Indiana on Nov. 29; Treasured Friends on Dec. 13 and ABRA on Dec. 20.

In addition to Wag your Tail Wednesdays, Santa will be available for photos leading up to Christmas. Santa will visit the Indiana Welcome Center Saturdays and Sundays from Thanksgiving to Christmas from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Santa will also be available for photos on Friday, Nov. 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Santa will only be available on Christmas Eve from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Each 4x6 commemorative photo is $6.

The A Christmas Story Comes Home exhibit, which is presented in agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will run through Jan. 7, 2018. The exhibit features six animatronic scenes from the holiday film, A Christmas Story. A bronze statue of Flick, with his tongue permanently "stuck" to a flagpole can also be viewed outside of the Indiana Welcome Center.
