Griffith's Central Park will transform into a three-day blues festival with sixteen blues bands, more than a dozen BBQ vendors and craft beer on June 30, July 1 and 2. A BBQ Cook-Off will take place on Saturday, July 1 at 3:00 p.m. Special guest judges for the cook-off include Dan Hampton and Steve McMichael from the 1985 Superbowl Champion Chicago Bears and Emma Mac, 93WXRT On-Air Personality.

Blues artists include Smiley Tillman Band featuring Kate Moss, Eddie "The Chief" Clearwater, Joanna Connor, Queen of the Blues Rock Guitar and Grammy Award Winning Bobby Rush.

Rick Ryfa, Griffith Town Council President said, "We are excited to bring an additional day to the blues festival; we've added a BBQ Cook-Off and we'll continue to bring nationally-known blues artists to Griffith for this annual event."

The festival will take place in the grassy area of Central Park located a few blocks from Downtown Griffith at 600 N. Broad Street. Broad Street Blues and BBQ Festival offers free admission and is sponsored by Heineken Beer. More information about the can be found at www.broadstreetbluesfest.com.
