Game Day USA Will Bring 1,000+ athletes to the Region

The Game Day Nationals, a baseball tournament, will kick off in Crown Point on July 7 and continue through July 10. All games will be played at the Legacy Fields at Crown Point Sportsplex, 1313 North Street, and the new Legacy Fields at Center Ross Park located at 851 Center Ross Road.

"We are happy to be hosting our first national tournament on the brand-new Legacy Fields in Crown Point," said Jennie Burgess, Park s Administrator for the City of Crown Point.

Eighty-five teams are expected to play and consist of baseball players in the 8U, 9U, 10U, 12U, 13U and 14U categories. The first scheduled games start at 8:00 a.m. from July 7 to 10. Opening ceremonies will take place at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago, the home of the Chicago White Sox, on July 7 at 7:00 p.m.

Athletes, coaches and their families will travel from all over the Midwest to compete in the four-day tournament. For additional information about Game Day USA tournaments, visit
