Explore the South Shore II - Arts and Culture is a FREE event featuring local organizations with a focus on arts and culture including lots of family fun for all ages. Come out and discover all the South Shore has to offer for families! Expect to find:

• Giveaways and games
• A performance of the musical "Pickle Chiffon Pie"
• Ballet and dance demos
• Hands-on art stations
• Fun food vendors
• Storytime
• Short films
• Interactive booths

PLUS the first 500 families will receive a regional passport of savings from the participating organizations to use throughout the season.

     Panorama Now: Kids and teens will want to try out Dino Bowling and for the little ones - Pee Wee Ball Crawl.

    119th Street Artists: Make your own Valentines!

    Taltree Arboretum and Gardens: BEEn Bag - Can you make sure the bees can get to the flowers so they can be pollinated? Plus identify objects inside our nature-themed sensory boxes and enter to win a $50 discount on a Railway Garden birthday party.

    Carnegie Arts: Construct a foam pirate and a treasure chest, Matey!

     Towle Community Theater: Make your own headshot and bio plus check out some of the props and costumes they use.

    Lubeznik Center for the Arts: Create a multimedia dunescape collage that will be displayed at the Lubeznik Center's galleries.

    South Shore Arts: Create a collage of Indiana's State Bird - the cardinal!

    South Shore Dance Alliance: Enjoy interactive dance games and move to the music. 

Books, Brushes and Bands for Education:  Play back a rhythm on the snare drum, or a melody on the xylophone. We'll start with a few easy ones, but then get a bit more difficult. It's all about your listening skills, and they'll even give you a little something for your troubles!
