Gardners

The Garden Club of Indiana, Inc. is celebrating its 80th Anniversary and we need every member to make this a huge success. Celebrating our 80th State Convention is going to be the biggest event we can make it.  We are planning a convention like no other.  Your participation is essential in making this convention outstanding.  We are celebrating ourselves and how we, as gardeners, make the earth a prettier place.  The Hallmark designation for this anniversary is diamonds and pearls.  We are planning many jewel related surprises.  Come join in on the fun.

Terry Murphy - Strolling Comedy Magic Performance

"Chicago land's #1 Magician" as announced on the WYKT 105.5 fm is just one of the titles Terry Murphy has earned from his many years in show business.  His individualistic dedication to the "art of magic" has rewarded him with awards of merit and achievement.  Terry ‘s philosophy of not having enough hours in a day in which to work and, if you do anything-make it 100%-give the audience their money's worth are constant priorities.  He has appeared nationally on WGN's TV's "Bozo Show" and entertained tourists aboard the Royal Caribbean's "Nordic Empress" cruise ship and guests at the Marriott Resort in Maui, Hawaii.  Murphy has also entertained rock music celebrities Bon Jovi, 96' National Democratic Convention in New Jersey and Ohio and performances for the Navy.

For 20 years, Joannie has been a Horticulturist and Retail Perennial Manager at The Growing Place Nursery and Flower Farm in Aurora, Illinois.  She is a traveling lecturer/teacher on perennials, herbs, and bulbs for The Growing Place, Chicago area William-Sonoma stores, Whole Foods, as well as many Illinois and Indiana Garden Clubs and women's organizations.

She has lectured four times at The Chicago Flower and Garden Show, at Navy Pier.  Joannie has also had several articles published in publications including the Chicago Tribune, Chicagoland Gardening Magazine and Garden Gate Magazine.  She is also the author of a family history cookbook, highlighted with info on growing, harvesting and cooking with herbs.

However, her greatest joy is sharing cooking, gardening, and year old granddaughter, Sara Rose.
