The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority (SSCVA) offers many useful services that can save lots of time - before and during the event. We're your central information resource for practically anything you need - from professional service to personal needs and hospitals to hairdressers. For whatever you require, call us first!  Convention services include:

Convention Pre-Promotion - There are many ways we can help pre-promote your upcoming convention in the South Shore.

 - Provide Lake County brochures, maps and an entertaining video on the area

 - If you give us an e-mail list of your attendees, we will send them information on events and attractions throughout the area

 - Link your convention website to the official South Shore website

 - For conventions that have contracted 300 rooms or more on peak night, a member of our staff may attend your prior year's convention to provide South Shore hotel maps, brochures and promotional items

The South Shore White Glove Service - Let us take the hassle out of planning your special events or spousal tours. With one phone call to us, we'll pass all details of your desired event to the attractions or service providers, who will contact you directly with information or a bid.

Vendor List - We offer a handy list of area vendors from shuttle services to florists. To receive the list, just give us a call.

County/State Offical Welcome Letter - We will coordinate a personalized welcome letter from a county or state official. This information is required three months prior to your convention.

Customizable Insert - To promote your event, we offer a four-color, attendance-building insert for your conference mailer. This multi-purpose piece can function as a teaser, a special event registration, or information on a program event. We can also provide camera-ready copy about Lake County's attractions, tailored to your group. Printing costs are the responsibility of your organization.

Publicity - Our communications department has everything you need to spread the word about your event:

 - Selection of color and b&w photos

 - Color and b&w, camera-ready artwork of the South Shore logo

 - Area media list

 - Promotional videos

Registration Assistance - Allow our knowledgeable staff to assist you in providing true Northwest Indiana hospitality with complimentary registration assistance.

Brochures & Collateral Materials - At the time of your convention/event, complimentary brochures and materials for delegate packets or information desks are available in limited quantities. The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority's services department offers the following materials:

 - Official Visitor's Guides - A comprehensive magazine listing attractions, tours, shopping malls, major events and much more.
