The 5th annual Michael Jackson "King of Pop" Tribute Festival of the Arts will feature fun for the whole family beginning Thursday, August 28 and running through Saturday, August 30! The festival will take place at 2300 Jackson Street, the birth home of Michael Jackson, as well as take over the campus of Roosevelt High School.
This celebration of the life of Michael Jackson will highlight local and national talent during multiple musical and artistic performances. Attendees will experience a variety of performances, with dance, spoken word, instrumentalists, theater and artists from all areas of the performing arts taking the stages over the course of the festival.
The three-day outdoor tribute will kick off with an opening ceremony parade at noon on Thursday, August 28, and will include a kids' pavilion, food, craft and art vendors, a classic/antique car show, a dance competition, exhibitions, a petting zoo, fireworks and much more.
On the final day of the festival, a ceremony will award the winners of the dance competition and the best musical performance. A national recording group will perform a tribute to the "King of Pop," and attendees will enjoy a spectacular fireworks show to conclude the event.
