There are so many exciting outdoor activities in Gary, Indiana that it's hard to know where to start! Visitors can head to Marquette Park for a picnic under a shady tree, or hit Wells Street Beach and Lake Street Beach for some fun in the sand and surf. Those looking for a real outdoor adventure can hike through the unique ecosystems of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore on their way to the Douglas Center for Environmental Education. No matter what you choose, outdoor fun is yours to be had on the South Shore of Lake Michigan.
