Attractions

attrac-listingsWhether you are an art enthusiast, a thrill-seeker, or a history buff, you can find it all in Lake County.

The Center for Visual and Performing Arts, the Northern Indiana Arts Association, and the Steeple Gallery have rotating exhibits throughout the year.  The Star Plaza Theatre offers top-name musical groups and entertainers and the Theatre at the Center performs a variety of musicals and plays.

Take the family to Deep River Waterpark this summer to experience the thrills and excitement of body and tube slides, lazy rivers, and a wave pool.  During the winter months, bring the family to ice-skate under the clock tower at the main entrance.  Schererville Golf and Fun Center also offers fun for the family, featuring arcade games, miniature golf, and a go-kart race track.

Lake County has an abundance of historical sites, museums, and memorials.  You can learn the history of the steel industry and flight along the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan, or learn about the famous Dr. Scholl's foot remedies in Cedar Lake.  Learn what brought Rudolph Valentino and Joe DiMaggio to Crown Point, or what famous pop-star grew up in Gary.
