Travelers are sure to pass through the small town of New Chicago when driving to Lake Station or Hobart. New Chicago is a family based community with 2,000 residents. This quite neighborhood can be great fun for the little ones with three parks located in the town. Twin Oaks Park provides covered shelters and Bicentennial Park has a metal train display both are great for picnics. Tetter/Wallace Park, named in memory of two local Vietnam Veterans, is a tot park for children between ages three and four.
