Look for more power shopping at Woodmar Mall in Hammond and the various shopping plazas in Highland and Schererville.
You'll find more unique treasures, and a slower pace, in downtwon Whiting. Enjoy the locally-owned gift shops, clothiers, and confectionary.
The remnants of yesteryear can be found at the historic Crown Point Courthouse, where both Cassius Clay and Rudolph Valentino were once wed. Now the "Grand Old Lady" is filled with antique and collectible shops that are sure to please. For more antiquing, head south to the town of Lowell. Main Street is filled with over thirty specialty shops offering vintage treasures, fine art, and homemade gifts.
Shop near the lakefront at Miller Beach in Gary for unique artwork and custom gifts. And don't forget to stop by the gift shop at the Indiana Welcome Center on I-80/94 and Kennedy Avenue south in Hammond for unique Indiana souvenirs, artwork and books.
