There's no better way to plan for your trip to the South Shore than to call the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority at 1-800-ALL-LAKE. The friendly and knowledgeable staff can provide you with comprehensive information on the area's attractions, accommodations, restaurants, shops, and parks. Call to obtain the current weather reports and forecasts, a calendar of events and area maps with detailed directions. Please call in advance of your vacation so that the bureau's staff can be the most help to you and your family.
While visiting South Shore, stop by the Indiana Welcome Center located at I-80/94 and Kennedy Avenue south. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekends.
You'll find travel counselors to help you with directions or provide current copies of the visitors guide, maps, and brochures. Our staff will also be happy to make you a hotel or dinner reservation, or just provide you with descriptions, price lists and hours of operation.
Travelers often find the Indiana Welcome Center to be a wonderful stopping point before starting their vacation. Weary travelers will find helpful counselors, clean bathroom facilities, hot coffee, vending machines, public telephones and a pet exercise area.
The Indiana Welcome Center also houses the In-Vision Theatre, the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall, and the Lake County Gift Shop.

Located on Calumet Avenue, just south of 45th Street in Munster, the Town's newest and largest park offers a banquet facility that can accomodate groups up to 210 people. The clubhouse is the perfect place to plan your next wedding reception, shower, reunion, family gathering, luncheon or corporate meeting. The Centennial Ballroom can also be divided into three seperate spaces.
