Rik Brankle-Piszczek, SHRM-CP
Chief Administrative Officer
Prior to joining the South Shore Convention and Visitor's Authority in 2011, I spent 10 years with Officemax.
Initially I was hired as an associate in the print department; I took on many roles and finally joined the District Management Training Team in 2007.
I then joined the SSCVA as an intern in June of 2011, after which I took on the role of Travel Counselor and then, in 2012, Visitor Services Manager, managing the day-to-day operations of the Indiana Welcome Center and its staff. In 2014 my affinity for problem solving and working to help people drew me to the position of Manager of Human Resources. Since then I have enjoyed every minute of serving the great staff that we have assembled here at the South Shore CVA. I currently serve as the Chief Administrative Officer.
I graduated from Indiana University Northwest in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with a concentration in management and a minor in accounting. I am a current member of both local and national chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management. In 2015 I obtained my national SHRM-CP certification through the Society for Human Resource Management. In 2018, I completed my Masters of Professional Studies in Human Resources and Employee Relations concentrating on compensation and benefits. My future goals include certification as a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist.
I spend most my free time playing with my dogs, Maggie, Sophie, Libby, Nick & Gus and utilizing the many miles of bike paths across Lake, Porter, and La Porte counties.
