Held in three buildings at the Porter County Expo Center in Valparaiso, the Northwest Indiana Earth Day Celebration attracted more than 3,200 attendees in 2013, the largest attendance in the event's nine-year history. Early registrants will enjoy the maximum advertising benefits of the event.
In other news, Northwest Indiana Earth Day Celebration attendees who have pre-ordered and paid for rain barrels will be able to pick them up during the event. The purchased barrels will be available between 9 a.m. and noon.
Information on purchasing the 55-gallon barrels is available on the Recycling & Waste Reduction District of Porter County website, www.ItMeansTheWorld.org. Mail-in orders must be received by April 13; online orders must be placed by April 15.
