Each Live in the Ville event will feature food trucks and stands, such as Byway Brewery, True BBQ and Whiskey Bar, Cookielicious Sweet and Savory and more. Live music will be performed by groups such as Eclectic Soul, Teach the Fire, Beach House Music School and more. Live at the Ville will also have live art performances complete with face-painting, jugglers and costumed characters. A special Frida Kahlo art exhibit and folk art market will be on display during the festival.
The events begin at 168th and Kennedy Avenue in Hammond, Ind. Performances and vendors will run from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Live at the Ville is sponsored by the Hessville Commerce and Community Creative each Saturday evening in June.
"Live at the Ville brings the ordinary street festival to life; it's an interactive and live celebration of all that is music, art, craft, performance, food and culture. There is a lot of history on Kennedy Avenue in Hammond from the Indiana Welcome Center to Freddy's Steakhouse and we want to welcome residents and visitors to experience the multi-cultural creative and entertainment life happening in Hessville. Everyone is welcome and we encourage you to dress up and show your creativity," said Jocelyn Prue, HC3 Board President.
