Hammond, Ind. (August 7, 2018) – Meet with author, James B. Dworkin and illustrator, Michael Chelich for a book signing of “Red’s Nature Adventure” on August 18 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Indiana Welcome Center. The book follows Red the Irish setter through an adventure at Shirley Heinze Land Trust nature preserves. Along the way, Red meets new friends who come to his aid as they teach him about the world in which they live.

The book’s detailed illustrations, appealing characters and educational content make it suitable for people of all ages. Michael Chelich, a Munster resident illustrated the book and used scenes from Gary, Hammond, Hobart, Portage, Chesterton, Valparaiso, Michigan City and South Bend. Chelich is also a South Shore Poster artist.

Dworkin is an Indiana-based educator, is chancellor emeritus at Purdue University North Central and professor of management at the Krannert Graduate School at Purdue University. “Red’s Nature Adventure” is Dworkin’s third children’s book.
