Bureau Places 6th among Best Places to Work in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Lake County Convention and Visitors Bureau is proud to announce the success of being named in the top 10 “Best Places to Work in Indiana.” The Lake County CVB was awarded with the 6th place ranking in the Small/Medium Companies. The Bureau was also the only government agency to be awarded with the honor at the Awards Luncheon on May 2nd at the Indiana Rooftop Ballroom.

Speros A. Batistatos, President/CEO said, “I am very proud to be a part of this organization. The Board of Directors has allowed us to create a culture and an environment that empowers and motivates the entire staff. It was a humbling experience to be recognized among the top 50 best workplaces.” Katie Holderby, Executive Vice President also commented, “Every member of the staff has ownership of the company. A flexible and positive workplace translates into a positive experience for the visitor.”

Winners were chosen after employer reports and comprehensive surveys were analyzed. There were 100 entries this year; 30 Small/Medium Companies and 20 Large Companies were chosen as nominees for the 2nd Annual “Best Places to Work in Indiana” award. Participants of the “Best Places to Work in Indiana” program received an evaluation to help organizations identify the company’s strengths and weaknesses.
