Crown Point, Ind. will soon be bustling with amateur athletes from around the nation. Game Day Nationals, held July 6-9 in Crown Point will bring 118 teams to play at the Legacy Fields at the Sportsplex, Legacy Fields at Center Ross Park, Jerry Ross Park and the Crown Point High School.

Game Days Nationals will bring in 400 room nights and more than $100,000 in economic impact for the 4-day tournament. Coaches and teams will begin their arrival to the Region on July 5th and tournament games begin July 6 at 8:00 a.m. and continue until July 9.

Opening Ceremonies and Skills Day will be held at the Sportsplex on July 6 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. All games are open to the public.

"We are excited to host a number of baseball and softball tournaments in the Region this summer including Game Day Nationals and National Softball Association World Series. Large amateur sporting events like these bring in thousands of athletes, coaches and their families where they will eat in our restaurants, sleep in our hotels, visit our attractions and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in our economy," said Rick Flutka, Sports Development Manager for the South Shore CVA.
