The Franciscan Alliance Health and Wellness Expo, slated for Saturday, May 2 at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Indiana, will feature interactive activities, guest speakers and presentations, race day packet pick up and more. The event kicks off Indiana's inaugural The Biggest Loser RunWalk, which will be hosted in Crown Point on Sunday, May 3.

Megan Glaros, meteorologist with CBS 2 Chicago Morning News, will be presenting from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Her presentation will offer tips and information for a healthy lifestyle as she discusses how she maintains being healthy and active while being a parent and having a full time job.

Additional presenters include past "The Biggest Loser" participants Marci Crozier, Andrea Wilamowski, and Jackie and Dan Evans; and Franciscan St. Anthony Health Sports Medicine Institute's Director of Sports Performance, Sports Medicine, Strength and Conditioning Frank Eksten.

Crozier was a participant of "The Biggest Loser" Season 11 with her partner and daughter Courtney. She was the first woman in "The Biggest Loser" history to reach her goal weight while still at "The Biggest Loser" ranch. Crozier developed an expertise in the fitness and weight loss industry during her 28 years serving as general manager of Omni 41 Health & Fitness Connection and is now the regional director of marketing and sales for Omni Health & Fitness under the auspices of Franciscan Alliance Northern Indiana Region. Her presentation will be hosted on the White Stage from 3:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Jackie and Dan Evans appeared on Season 5 of "The Biggest Loser." Dan's childhood dream was to write and perform his own music, a dream he felt was put on hold due to his battle with obesity and self-esteem. Feeling guilty and responsible for Dan's weight, Jackie decided to seek out the opportunity for Dan to participate in "The Biggest Loser." Jackie joined Dan as his partner on the show, and now joins him as they promote health and fitness with The Biggest Loser RunWalk events. Their presentation will be hosted on the White Stage from 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Eksten has more than 25 years of experience in athletic development, and has served as a speaker and consultant around the world for professional sports teams, National Olympic committees, and numerous colleges, universities and sports institutes. His presentation will be hosted on the White Stage from 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

The Franciscan Alliance Health and Wellness Expo will be held on Saturday, May 2 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. inside the Industrial Arts Building at the fairgrounds. Additional features of the event include race packet pick up, interactive activities and more. All are encouraged to attend and get inspired for race day. The event is free and open to the public.

The Biggest Loser RunWalk, hosted Sunday, May 3, will take place rain or shine, starting at 8 a.m. for the half marathon and 8:30 a.m. for the 5K, at the Lake County Fairgrounds.
