The Matt "HOMIE" Lovasko Memorial Disc Golf Championship returns to Lemon Lake County Park in Crown Point, Ind for the 14th year on Oct. 17 and 18. This year also marks the 2nd year as an awarded PDGA A-Tier level, providing a higher level of visibility to the sport, venue and region.

Participants are expected from across the nation and some as far as Sweden. Nearly 200 participants are expected to compete in the 2015 tournament.

"We are excited to host the HOMIE Championship at Lemon Lake again. Our Flight Center at Lemon Lake is the first regional development center that offers teaching, learning, training and shopping in one location. We invite the public to visit the course and the HOMIE tournament to learn more about disc golf and its growing popularity," stated Deb Svitko, Sports and Business Development Director at the Lemon Lake Flight Center.

HOMIE is a Memorial Disc Golf Championship named after Matt Lovasko, one of the top ranked disc golf players in the region. He was unexpectedly killed in a fire in 2001; the tournament was created by his family and friends in 2002 as a way to honor him and his love of disc golf.

Lemon Lake County Park in Crown Point is home to 5 world championship disc golf courses on 400 wooded acres - offering a unique park and playing opportunities. Lemon Lake is located at 6322 W. 133rd Avenue, Crown Point.
