HAMMOND – Nearly 100 pieces of art will be on display at the IndianaWelcomeCenter from now until March 7th in the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall. The exhibit will showcase paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures from the Illiana Artists.
“This is the first time we will showcase our art at the IndianaWelcomeCenter. We are excited to be on display at the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall, it is a wonderful venue and a prime location,” President Kathy Los-Rathburn stated.Members of the Illiana Artists Association are shown demos on different techniques and experience the business side of the arts. The organization gives artists an excellent opportunity to promote themselves as artists and network with artists in the area, a place where “artists are helping artists,” according to Los-Rathburn.
The WelcomeCenter is located at I-80/94 and Kennedy Avenue South in Hammond and is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm daily.
