LCCVB Receives Star Award

Indianapolis - The Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE) honored The Lake County Convention and Visitors Bureau in December with a 2006 STAR (Society’s Top Association Recognition) Award. The award for Best Newsletter/Bulletin was presented to the Bureau at the ISAE Annual Awards Ceremony at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites.

The Lake County CVB created the Quarterly Newsletter to aid in the communication with the hospitality industry, business leaders, economic development agencies and elected officials. The newsletter includes special events, sales and marketing initiatives and advocacy issues that affect the hospitality industry directly or indirectly.

The ISAE STAR Awards are designed to recognize association activities and programs that are making a difference. Each program or activity is judged by an outside panel of experts against the other entries in the same category. The judges also consider the goals, effectiveness, creativity and overall quality of the project before choosing a winner.
