FUTURES TOUR RETURNS TO HAMMOND: The LPGA's developmental tour, the Duramed FUTURES Tour, returns to Indiana June 25-27 for the City of Hammond Classic. The 54-hole, $110,000-purse tournament will take place at the Lost Marsh Golf Course.

The Duramed FUTURES Tour event has been held in Hammond since 2003, and has been contested at the Lost Marsh Golf Course since 2006. Last year's champion, Jean Reynolds, earned her LPGA membership at the end of the 2009 season and is competing full-time on the 2010 LPGA Tour.

Indiana natives Danah Ford Bordner, Ashley Prange and Kylene Pulley are expected to play in the tournament

The City of Hammond Classic will benefit the Lake Area United Way. The Lake Area United Way supports 33 local member agencies and special initiatives that help children and youth succeed in-and after school, provide opportunities to families and people with disabilities, provide shelters for abused women, build strong neighborhoods, and provide the basics of life in times of crisis and tragedy.

Tickets for the tournament are $10 for a one-day adult pass and $25 for an adult three-day pass. As at all Duramed FUTURES Tour events, kids age 16 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. Tickets may be purchased online at http://www.cityofhammondclassic.com/.
