The Indiana Welcome Center will be hosting an Operation Christmas Child packing party in conjunction with

The packing party will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, with a goal of packing 1000 boxes for the cause. Volunteers will have stations set up throughout the lobby and will be welcome to walk the exhibit hall. The Indiana Welcome Center is located at 7770 Corrine Dr., Hammond, IN 46323.

Operation Christmas Child is an opportunity to teach today's youth the importance of giving. Each box will be designated for a boy or a girl within a specific age range. From there, volunteers will fill the boxes with small toys, school supplies and hygiene items, as well as a letter for the receiving child to read.
