The National Singles in Agriculture Fall Festival will take place right here, in northwest Indiana from Sept 8 to 11. The Fall Festival is hosted by Indiana and Illinois Chapters of SIA. The singles group travels throughout the nation, experiencing attractions and inviting residents to take individual tours or trips with the group.
National Singles in Agriculture will arrive on Sept 8 and hold their Board Meeting. Up to 125 people are expected to join the group on the tour of northwest Indiana.
Friday, Sept 9 the group departs host hotel in Merrillville to visit Fair Oaks Farm Adventure Center for a tour at 10:00 a.m. Dinner will be hosted in the evening in Wheatfield, Ind. with an auction to follow at 7:30 p.m.
A tour of Wappel Farms (a grain and herb farm) in San Pierre, Ind. takes place at 9:00 a.m. on Sept 10 where guests will learn about the mint farm located there. After the farm, the singles group will visit downtown Crown Point, the shops and the John Dillinger Museum. A family-style dinner at Teibel's at 5:30 p.m.
National Singles in Agriculture will round out their northwest Indiana tour on Sept 11 with a tour of the Shrine of Christ's Passion in St. John, Ind. at 10:00 a.m.
