Nicole Jamrose will Judge Final 8 Region Idol Contestants
Crown Point, Indiana – Nashville Star finalist, Nicole Jamrose, will be the celebrity judge for the final round of Region Idol on Friday, May 26th. In order to accommodate Jamrose’s schedule, this week the competition will start earlier than previous weeks, at 7:00 pm at the Hall of Justice in Crown Point.
The entrance fee will increase to $10 for the final show on May 26th. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Proceeds benefit the National MS Society – Indiana Chapter, and the Northern Indiana Arts Association – Youth Outreach Program.
Jamrose will judge the first round of songs; the “judge’s choice” category. After the first round, the 8 remaining contestants will be cut to 6 (3 male and 3 female). The second round category is “Motown”. The 6 will be cut to 4, where the contestants perform a song of their choice. The top female and top male vocalist will then be named based on cumulative scores from the entire night. The overall winner will be determined by the highest score and will be named the 2006 Region Idol.

Nicole will be able to share her insight, experience, and recommendations to these talented individuals.”
The final 8 contestants include; Lisa Billings, Whitney Brown, LaToya Larkin, Theodore McClendon, Titus Rhodes, Corey Rongers, William Sayre, and Warren Tipton.
The 2nd Annual Region Idol is produced in cooperation with Phil and Joi Struebig owners of The Hall of Justice, Rubino’s Music, Albert’s Jewelers, The Lake County Convention and Visitors Bureau, The Times, The Post-Tribune, Northern Indiana Arts Association, and WJOB am1230.
