"Paint the Parks100" National Exhibit Opens Soon
Paintings on display from March 16th to May 1st
Hammond - The Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond, Indiana will be included in the PaintAmerica National Exhibition Tour, which is the nation's leading art competition for our National Parks. "Paint the Parks100" illustrates the beauty and significance of America's National Parks while providing a premiere, national showcase for the country's most notable artists, as well as upcoming emerging artists. One hundred paintings are chosen from the submissions and are part of the national exhibition that will stop at the Indiana Welcome Center from March 16th to May 1st. This is the second year the touring exhibition will be on display at the Welcome Center.
Visitors to the Indiana Welcome Center will have the opportunity to view and purchase the national award-winning art that is on display. The competition, Paint the Parks attracts many of the nations' top artists, with a $10,000 purchase award for the Grand Prize, plus other cash awards. The Indiana Welcome Center is located in Hammond at the intersections of I-80/94 and Kennedy Avenue South. Exhibits in the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall are free.
