"We put this event together to celebrate our police officers, those that put their lives on the line each day for residents and visitors - people they don't even know," said Jeff Fryzel, organizer of Police Appreciation Day." He continued, "We'll have entertainment and education pieces -helpful tools to handle yourself at traffic stops, how to teach your children that police are friends, among others."
The Nicole Jamrose Band, The Original Hazard County Band and the Lake County Pipe and Drums will be entertaining guests throughout the evening. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from The Patrician.
The event will kick off with a law enforcement parade, starting at Lake Central High School at 5:30pm and will head north on Rt. 41 to Rt. 30 east to the Patrician. The parade is only open to police and motorcyclists.
Participants will receive stickers to show their support of local law enforcement to display on their cars or windows. This event is free and open to the public. The Patrician is located at 410 US 30 in Schererville, Ind.
