See America Week Luncheon
Roger Dow will deliver keynote address at Indiana Welcome Center
Roger Dow, a global leader in the hospitality industry and President/CEO of Travel Industry Association of America (TIA) will deliver the keynote address at the annual See America Week luncheon on May 16th at 12 p.m. The luncheon is hosted by the Northwest Indiana Forum, and the Lake, Porter, and La Porte County Convention and Visitors Bureaus and will be held at the Indiana Welcome Center, located at I-80/94 and Kennedy Avenue in Hammond.
The annual luncheon and keynote address will focus on excellent customer service of the hospitality industry’s front-line employees, as well as outstanding service provided by businesses.

Batistatos, President/CEO of the Lake County CVB and former member of the TIA board of directors, is thrilled to have the President of TIA in Northwest Indiana. “Communities like New York, Chicago and Las Vegas vie for Mr. Dow during See America Week. “Roger has a true pulse on the travel and tourism industry throughout the world. We are eager for him to share his knowledge and expertise with Northwest Indiana’s hospitality industry,” said Lorelei Weimer, executive director of the Porter County Convention Recreation and Visitor Commission.
A thirty-four year veteran of the U.S. travel industry, Dow was most recently Senior Vice President, Global & Field Sales for Marriott International responsible for Marriott’s 10,000-person worldwide sales organization.
The scope of his responsibilities included sales for 2,800 hotels and 12 brands in the United States and 69 other countries worldwide. During his three-plus decades with Marriott, he had managerial responsibility for virtually every aspect of sales and marketing including advertising, public relations, promotion, sales training, and market planning. He established and developed the Marriott’s Rewards Program, one of the industry’s leading frequent traveler programs.
Dow, a leader and visionary in the hospitality industry has earned titles such as “one of the industry’s top leaders” from Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and being named by the Convention Industry Council (CIC) to its Hall of Leaders.
