The Area Artists Association of Lubeznik Center for the Arts will be displaying 100 pieces at the Indiana Welcome Center's exhibit hall from Aug 21 to Sept 24. The W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall is free and open to the public and open seven days a week.

The show, Regional Impressions and Reflections, displays the diverse media, styles, approaches and insights used by the Area Artists Association of Lubeznik Center for the Arts to convey aspects of environments, both physical and psychological.

One-hundred paintings, photographs and sculptures are included in the exhibit and feature more than 20 local artists. An opening reception will be held on Aug 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend the opening and get to know the artists and the organization.

The Area Artists Association was founded in 1978 and includes juried artists who live and work in the Northwest Indiana Region. The mission of the group is to increase the appreciation and recognition of local and regional member artists through exhibitions and promotion of art.
