Saint Joseph's College will host its inaugural basketball classic on Nov 27 and 28 at Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer in Indiana. Northwest Indiana players include Danilo Zekovic (Senior) from Munster and Nick Jeffirs (Freshman) from Crown Point. Tickets are available for $10/adults; $5/children 6-12; children 5 and under are free. Tickets are good for both days of the tournament.

The Puma Thanksgiving Basketball Classic will welcome five colleges to Saint Joseph's College: the University of Illinois Springfield; Hillsdale College (Mich.); Ohio Dominican University; Mercyhurst University (Pa.) and Oakland City University (Ind.).

Nov 27 - women's basketball teams will face off at 1pm and 3pm (CDT). Hillsdale College and Oakland City University will start off the Classic and the Lady Pumas will face Mercyhurst University at 3pm. The men's teams will start at 6pm with a game between University of Illinois Springfield and Hillsdale College. At 8pm, the Pumas will face Ohio Dominican University.

On Nov 28, the women's teams from Mercyhurst University and Hillsdale College facing off at 1pm and Lady Pumas taking on Oakland City University at 3pm. The men's games will begin at 6pm with the University of Illinois Springfield taking on Ohio Dominican University and the Pumas following at 8pm with a game against Hillsdale College.

A special ceremony will take place during halftime during the 1pm and 6pm men's and women's games on Nov 28; honoring the Puma teams that reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament.

The Puma Thanksgiving Classic is sponsored by McDonalds and the Jasper County Economic Development Organization. Saint Joseph's College is located at 1498 S College Ave. in Rensselaer. The tournament will take place in the Richard F. Scharf Alumni Fieldhouse.
