Merrillville, Ind. (July 12, 2019) – SAVOR INDIANA, a half-hour segment highlighting area attractions and events will premiere July 14 at 8:30 a.m. (CST) on Lakeshore Public Television (Channel 56) in Merrillville. Two additional episodes will air on July 21 and 28 at 8:30 a.m. (CST). Episodes are also broadcast on other PBS channels and Indianapolis Comcast On-Demand subscribers.

The segment airing on July 14 features Whiting’s Pierogi Fest, WhoaZone and a “Main Street Tour” as well as Hammond’s Festival of the Lakes, El Taco Real and the Marina. Food & Fun episode will run on July 21 and features the U.S. 30 corridor including: Valparaiso’s Popcorn Festival, Deep River Waterpark, Albanese Confectionery and Edge Adventure Park. The episode airing on July 28 will feature a number of breweries along the South Shore Brewery Trail. All episodes will air at 8:30 a.m. (CST) on Lakeshore Public Television.

The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority partnered with Associated Images Moving Picture Production Co. To spotlight a selection of the South Shore’s attractions, culinary stops and adventures.

Previous episodes featured other area attractions and restaurants including Lucrezia Italian Ristorante and Crown Brewing in Crown Point, Carpenter Creek Cellars in Remington, and Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area in Medaryville.
