The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority and the Lake Court House Foundation will be hosting a business open house at the newly opened John Dillinger Museum on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Speros A. Batistatos, president and CEO of the South Shore CVA, and Marty Wheeler, president of the Lake Court House Foundation, and Mayor David Uran with the city of Crown Point will be on hand throughout the open house to answer questions.

This is an exclusive event for surrounding business owners and staff to experience and learn about the new John Dillinger Museum. The museum opened inside the Old Lake County Courthouse on July 22, 2015, and offers visitors and educational journey through the life and times of John Dillinger and his gang while emphasizing that crime doesn't pay. The South Shore CVA, Lake Court House Foundation and the city of Crown Point hope the museum serves as a tourism draw, attracting more visitors to downtown Crown Point.
