"Though we had to cancel the South Shore Air Show, plans for the South Shore Regional Car Show remain as scheduled," said Speros A. Batistatos, president and CEO of the South Shore CVA.
According to Batistatos, attendees can also enjoy a DJ and music, an appearance by the Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders and the Colts In Motion traveling museum, a 1969 Nostalgia Top Fuel Dragster, a beer garden, discounted Fair Oaks Farms attractions, a performance by the National Anthem Girl and a fireworks show.
Spectator admission is a $2 donation or one canned good, with all proceeds benefitting the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. For each $2 donation or one canned good, a raffle ticket will be given. Additional raffle tickets will be given for higher donations or more canned goods: Two raffle tickets for $5 or three canned goods; five raffle tickets for $10 or five canned goods; and ten raffle tickets for $20 or more or ten or more canned goods. Raffle prizes will be awarded every half hour from 4:00 p.m. through 7:30 p.m.
"The South Shore Regional Car Show will be a very exciting event. With 14 different car categories and the chance at 90 different awards for participants, attendees can expect a variety of classic and antique cars," explained Batistatos.
