The John Dillinger Museum will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and offer buy-one, get-one free admission. The movie, "Public Enemies" will be shown on the lawn of the historic Courthouse at dusk. There is no charge to watch the movie. Attendees should bring blankets or lawn chairs. The movie will not be shown during inclement weather; there will not be a rain date.
Crown Point's weekly Car Cruise will also take place along the Square from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All attendees are welcome to join in the fun of the Dillinger events and the Car Cruise.
The Dillinger Museum will also offer buy-one, get-one free admissions on Friday, July 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; the anniversary of the day notorious gangster, Dillinger was shot and killed in Chicago, Ill.
The John Dillinger Museum offers an interactive journey through the life and times of Dillinger and his gang while following the FBI's man-hunt for the Depression Era criminals. The John Dillinger Museum is located inside the historic Lake County Courthouse, in downtown Crown Point. Normal hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $4 from adults; $3 for seniors and $2 from children ages 6 to 12; children under 6 are free. Active fire, EMS, military, police officers and Hoosier Helpers are always free with proper identification.
