The South Shore Civil War Memorial Trail will be hosting their exhibit, Region United, Nation Divided: Following Lincoln, Feb. 24 through April 30 at the Indiana Welcome Center. The exhibit showcases the region's answer to Abraham Lincoln's call to action during our nation's bloodiest war - the Civil War.

The exhibit features hundreds of photographs, artifacts and reproductions of Northwest Indiana regiment battle flags. Additionally, there will be a reproduction of Lincoln's funeral train and map as well as the Indiana Historical Society's traveling exhibit, The Faces of Lincoln.

Field trip opportunities to the Indiana Welcome Center during the exhibit are available. The field trips are free of cost, and may include a guided walk-through with further explanation on the various exhibit items as well as an interactive quiz.
