Dan and Jackie Evans from Season 5 will be headlining this event along with Indiana native Marci Crozier, who was a participant of Season 11 with her partner and daughter Courtney Crozier.
Registration is now open for the event, which costs $50 for the half marathon, through Feb. 28, and $25 for the 5K through Jan. 31. The One-Mile Kids Fun Run is $15. Online registration will remain open until April 28, or until the race sells out.
Registration includes a commemorative "The Biggest Loser" RunWalk shirt, finisher's medal, free downloadable race photos, a chance to meet with former "Biggest Loser" contestants and much more. The half marathon and 5K are chip-timed for participants tracking personal goals, with awards given to the top runners and walkers.
The Franciscan Alliance Health and Fitness Meet ‘n' Greet will be held Saturday, May 2 from 1p.m. to 6 p.m. inside the Industrial Arts Building at the Lake County Fairgrounds, featuring packet pick up, guest speakers and much more. All are encouraged to attend and get inspired for race day. This event is free and open to the public.
The Biggest Loser RunWalk not only wants to thank the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority for reaching out to showcase the South Shore area, but also for helping to coordinate the details for the race weekend.

The race will take place rain or shine, starting at 8 a.m. for the half marathon and 8:30 a.m. for the 5K, at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 889 South Court Street, Crown Point, IN 46307.
This event will also include a kids' one-mile fun run for ages 4-12 beginning at noon. After the race, participants, family and friends can celebrate and relax at the post-race concert featuring former "The Biggest Loser" contestant and Nashville recording artist, Dan Evans.
