The Diggz of Northwest Indiana will be hosting the Epic United Winter Showcase on Friday, Jan. 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. College coaches have been invited to watch as sophomore, junior and senior high school volleyball players show off their skills during drills and practice.

According to Mike Mazur, one of the owners and club directors of The Diggz, over one hundred girls will be put through a series of drills while coaches watch in the stands. The coaches will be provided with a booklet containing a profile on each girl that includes height, how high they touch, intended major in college and GPA.

Several hundred coaches have been invited to the event. Coaches from several Indiana University schools, Purdue University schools, Roosevelt University, College of St. Francis, College of DuPage and Ball State University have previously attended the Winter Showcase.

The Diggz is located at 4590 W. 61st Avenue, Hobart, IN 46342. Spectators are invited to watch the event free of charge.

The Diggz of Northwest Indiana plays home to Epic United Volleyball. Epic United Volleyball is the result of a merger between Altitude Volleyball and Diamond Elite Volleyball Academy. The Diggz offers six volleyball courts, two indoor sand volleyball courts and 42,000 square feet of gym space.

In addition to volleyball, The Diggz also provides space for indoor soccer, woman's roller derby, basketball, indoor baseball and softball. Additionally, The Diggz offers speed and agility as well as strength and conditioning training for athletes focusing on high performance and injury prevention.
