Kendall Svengalis, author of "The Great Emerson Art Heist" will present to the public on Friday, April 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond. The book showing is free and open to the public. Svengalis will also be on hand to sign books.

"The Great Emerson Art Heist" is a unique work of historic fiction that blends real people and place from 1942 with tales of mystery and World War II references. Svengalis' books are also used to grow your vocabulary and for SAT preparation.

Svengalis is a 1965 graduate of Emerson High School and received his BA and MA from Purdue University. He also wrote, "Gary, Indiana: A Centennial Celebration."
