Engineering Experiences will be the topic of conversation at the South Shore CVA's annual Tourism Luncheon as well as the Tourism Workshop on May 4and May 5, respectively. Both the lunch and workshop will be held at the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond, Ind. as a part of National Travel and Tourism Week.

Engineering Experiences, a presentation by Joe Veneto (aka the Opportunity Guy) will be the topic for the Tourism Week Luncheon on May 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Luncheon is $35/person and $300 for a table of 10. Veneto collaborates with destinations and hospitality professionals to increase visitation and drive economic development. During his presentation, he will discuss the five stages of every experience to create a meaningful customer connection.

The Tourism Workshop with Joe Veneto will run on May 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and includes Continental Breakfast. The workshop will help attendees create an action plan using Veneto's "Experience Formula." Attendees will learn techniques to create connections, nurture the narrative, and impact the feelings of customers to create an engaging experience. Tickets for the workshop are $20/person.
