There is a beach hazard statement from the National Weather Service from Tuesday morning, September 21 through Thursday evening, September 23, 2021. Expect high waves and dangerous currents at Lake Michigan beaches. Remain out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions and do not venture out onto piers, jetties, breakwalls or other shoreline structures.

"A Christmas Story" Comes Home Returns to Indiana Welcome Center

You know it’s the holiday season when it’s time to unwrap the"A Christmas Story” Comes Home exhibit, on display at Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond. If you have never been to this spectacular display, then you don’t yet know what you’re missing! This exhibit is completely free and is open from November 14 - January 3, 2021.
