When planning a quick overnight with the whole family, it’s important to look for a variety of activities that everyone will enjoy. Our first night did just that!

As the last days of August slip away, my family and I were lucky enough to get in one last summer splash - literally - at Deep River Waterpark, on Route 30 in Crown Point. While our sons had been to the park before with friends, this was the first trip for my wife and I to this, or any, water park. We had a great time, but definitely have suggestions on how to make the next trip, whether it’s ours or yours, even better.


When I was little each summer we would always plan a fun family trip and more often than not, it would be a road trip. At the time, I was not the biggest fan of being in the car for hours, but today I appreciate the experience. I am excited to share the fun with my children! When we planned to visit Fort Wayne, Indiana this summer I knew this would be the perfect opportunity to plan some fun stops along the way.


Summer is not over and there’s still time to take advantage of the sunny days, warm evenings and late nights with friends and family.
