Harvest season brings vibrant yellows, oranges and reds to the leaves and also juicy crisp apples. From early September to October the trees are ripe with dozens of varieties of apples including: Gala, Honeycrisp, Golden Delicious and Pink Ladies.


Take your music and performance lifestyle live for a night out along the South Shore. Open mics and music nights happen nearly every night through Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland, and here are a few that will help you reach your 10,000 hours of mastery. Ameristar Hotel & Casino - Ameristar's hotel has non-smoking floors; guests can request a room on one of those floors when booking. The casino's non-smoking section slot area is in the back on the first deck. The restaurants at Ameristar Casino are also non-smoking.
