Michigan City History Walking Tour

This month’s walking tour will explore the history of Michigan City’s downtown from the Ice Age to the present day. Guests will learn the history of fur traders who first came to the region, the story of Isaac C. Elston, and the recent architectural history of Michigan City’s downtown. The tour leaves the Barker Mansion at 10:30 am and covers approximately one mile. In the event of rain, a special mansion tour will be offered in place of the walking tour.
