  This delightfully quiet beachfront home was perfect! Well-appointed kitchen! Super comfortable beds! Lovely view of the lake! The owners were so helpful with any questions we had. Very clean! Great fireplace that made for cozy evening talks in the living room! Definitely recommend this lovely home.

  My self and my family had a great time at this condo. Place was clean and the everyone loved the beach. Had a small plumbing problem which the owner took care of immediately. Excellent response from owner.

• Beautiful family beach house

  We loved it! Such a great place to stay and we are definitely coming back next summer!!

  The house is beautiful and besides very minor decor differences, it's exactly as pictured. It's 3-stories; master bedroom is on the third floor, living areas and half bath on the second floor, and the other two bedrooms on the first floor. Both showers are in the en-suite bedrooms, so they do have to be shared.

  The view is just absolutely amazing with an added bonus of a sunset over the lake. All three floors have plenty of windows and a great view out of each one. The windows worked very well and easy to open to enjoy the view and breeze.

  It's a short walk out back to the beach through the sand grass or down the side of the house, which is right next to Wells Street Beach. They have a concession stand with good cheeseburgers, but they do close for bad weather.

  The fenced-in yard was perfect for the kids to play in. A water hose was provided which helped so much for cleaning the sand off the kids and feet. The stairs coming down from the balcony to the backyard had a latching door at the bottom, which was really nice to keep the kids from running back upstairs.

  We loved the firepit and hammock out back, it was so pretty and peaceful watching the sunset and listening to the waves.

  The house is stocked with cookware essentials, dishes, linens, towels, and thankfully even laundry detergent we ended up needing since we didn't bring quite enough warm clothes for the couple chilly, windy days.

  Such a huge, pleasant surprise was the charcoal grill came with all the necessary supplies and firewood was provided for the firepit. We had expected we'd need to go purchase these items.

  The check-in and out process was so easy and simple. I received a text message from the owner the night before check-in with instructions and house information.

  This was such an amazing house and not much to complain about, but for a completely honest review, I'm adding cons as well.

  Stairs!! Lots of stairs, which of course we were aware of. Luckily, the 2 and 3 year olds listened well enough to not play on or touch each on the stairs, but it does require a lot more monitoring for children. Semi-permanent baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs for those who need it would be a much appreciated bonus.

  There wasn't any coffee. I didn't expect it to be and brought my own, but it could be a disappointment for someone waking up thinking there'd be some.

• Fantastic location and rental

  The location and rental was perfect, as always you're hesitant to select a place by the pictures and description presented but given all the previous reviews, all of it is true and accurate and well worth the choice. Our family had a wonderful time here and Rex the owner was very hospitable and kind especially when the code to the entrance did not work and came over immediately to not only make sure the code worked but also the place was cleaned as expected by the cleaners (which it was!). This place was also a great jumpoff to Chicago which is 45 mins away (depending on traffic). Thank you Rex (and Peggy) for curating a wonderful rental.
